KuKu Pickup & Delivery Policy

At KuKu, we aim to make the movement of items between sellers, buyers, and donors seamless, transparent, and reliable. This policy explains how pickups and deliveries are handled on the KuKu platform in compliance with Apple App Store requirements and applicable UAE regulations.

1. Pickup from Sellers & Donors

A. Standard Listings (Independent Sellers)

  • Items are scheduled for pickup only after a confirmed purchase on the KuKu platform.
  • Pickups are arranged through KuKu's authorized logistics partners from the seller's registered address.
  • Buyers may choose to add KuKu's optional Quality Check (QC) add-on service at checkout:
  • If QC is selected, the item is transported to the KuKu QC Centre before delivery.
  • If QC is not selected, the item may be shipped directly to the buyer, subject to operational feasibility.
  • If an item fails QC (where QC is selected), it will be returned to the seller, and repeated misrepresentation may result in account warnings, restrictions, or suspension.

B. Ku-Kit Sellers (Pre-Submitted Inventory)

  • Ku-Kit sellers may request KuKu to collect multiple items in bulk.
  • Items are transported to KuKu facilities, stored securely, and listed on the seller's behalf.
  • Once sold, items are shipped directly from KuKu's inventory to the buyer.

C. Giveaway Items (Donors)

  • Giveaway pickups are not linked to purchases.
  • Donors may request a pickup through KuKu, subject to logistics availability.
  • KuKu reserves the right to decline items that do not meet minimum standards for donation, repurposing, or recycling.
  • Once collected, giveaway items are sorted into:
  • Donation (reusable items provided to partner charities)
  • Repurposing (items converted into usable materials or products)
  • Recycling (items responsibly recycled)
  • Resalable (Items that can be resold on the platform)

2. Delivery to Buyers

  • Items are delivered to buyers through KuKu's authorized logistics partners.
  • Delivery timelines and fees (if applicable) are displayed at checkout.
  • Buyers receive order status updates and estimated delivery timelines.
  • Buyers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. KuKu is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect addresses, unavailability, or refusal to accept delivery.

3. Special Provisions

  • Large or Oversized Items: Items requiring special handling may be subject to additional fees or separate delivery arrangements.
  • Unsuccessful Deliveries: If delivery attempts are unsuccessful due to buyer unavailability or incorrect information, the item may be returned to KuKu or the seller, and re-delivery fees may apply.

4. Liability & Risk Disclaimer

  • KuKu takes reasonable care to ensure items are handled responsibly during pickup, storage, quality checks (if selected), and delivery.
  • KuKu is not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by third-party logistics providers beyond its reasonable control.
  • KuKu is not responsible for delays caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to weather conditions, government restrictions, or operational disruptions.
  • Sellers and buyers are responsible for compliance with KuKu's packaging, labeling, and address accuracy requirements.

5. Regulatory Compliance

  • All pickups and deliveries are conducted in accordance with applicable UAE laws and logistics regulations.
  • KuKu operates as a platform facilitator and does not itself provide courier services.

6. Policy Updates

KuKu may update this Pickup & Delivery Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
