KuKu Payments, Earnings & Payouts Policy

At KuKu, we are committed to transparency, fairness, and compliance with applicable UAE consumer protection and digital transaction laws.

This policy explains how buyer payments are processed, how seller earnings are calculated, and how payouts are made. By using KuKu, you agree to the terms below.

1. Buyer Payments

  • All purchases made through KuKu are processed securely within the KuKu app using licensed third-party payment providers.
  • Buyers must complete payment through the app at checkout. Direct payments between buyers and sellers are strictly prohibited.
  • KuKu does not support cash payments, off-platform transfers, or external payment coordination.

2. Seller Earnings

Seller earnings are calculated after:

  • The buyer's payment has been successfully received.
  • The item has been delivered.
  • The applicable return period has expired (if applicable).

Seller earnings reflect the selling price minus KuKu's applicable commission, transaction fees, and any deductions described in this policy.

KuKu does not operate a stored-value wallet for users. Earnings are recorded internally and become eligible for payout once conditions are met.

Commissions cover operational services including:

  • Logistics coordination
  • Secure delivery handling
  • Customer support
  • Platform maintenance
  • Marketing and promotional efforts

KuKu reserves the right to update commission rates with notice.

4. Seller Payouts

Once an order is successfully completed and the return window has expired, seller earnings become eligible for payout.

Payout Method: Bank transfer to the seller's verified bank account.
Processing Time: 7–14 working days.
Minimum Payout Threshold: AED 100.

Sellers must provide accurate and up-to-date bank account details. KuKu is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect banking information.

KuKu does not offer instant payouts.

5. Refunds & Returns

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are issued directly to the buyer's original payment method via the licensed payment provider.
  • Refunded amounts are deducted from the seller's pending earnings where applicable.
  • Refunds are processed in accordance with KuKu's Return & Refund Policy and applicable UAE consumer protection regulations.
  • Refunds do not generate earnings for sellers.

6. Withholding, Adjustments & Deductions

KuKu may delay, adjust, or withhold seller payouts if:

  • A dispute or investigation is ongoing.
  • Fraud, counterfeit goods, or policy violations are suspected.
  • A chargeback is initiated.
  • Legal or regulatory compliance requires review.
  • Negative balances arise due to reversals or penalties.

Payment gateway fees and transaction charges may be deducted prior to payout.

7. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers must:

  • Comply with KuKu's Terms & Conditions and Seller Policies.
  • Ensure items comply with UAE safety, labeling, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain updated and valid banking information.
  • Comply with KuKu's Terms & Conditions and Seller Policies.

Failure to comply may result in delayed payouts, deductions, suspension, or termination.

8. Compliance & Liability

KuKu operates in accordance with UAE laws and consumer protection standards.

KuKu is not liable for:

  • Delays caused by third-party banking institutions.
  • Incorrect bank information provided by sellers.
  • Payment provider processing delays beyond KuKu's control.

KuKu reserves the right to amend payout processes, timelines, or commission structures to ensure operational or regulatory compliance.

Continued use of KuKu after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
