KuKu Content Policy
At KuKu, every listing tells a story.
We're building a creator-commerce platform where great fashion deserves great presentation. To keep KuKu inspiring, trustworthy, and enjoyable for everyone, all content uploaded to the platform must follow these guidelines. By uploading content to KuKu, you confirm that you own or have permission to use it and agree to comply with this Content Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and all applicable laws.
1. Who Can Upload Content?
Content may only be uploaded by registered KuKu users.
To publish listings, users must:
- •Be at least 18 years old.
- •Have an approved KuKu seller account.
- •Comply with all KuKu policies.
- •All content is reviewed by the KuKu team before it appears on the platform.
- •Submitting content does not guarantee publication.
2. Content Standards
KuKu is a fashion-first platform.
Everything uploaded should help buyers shop with confidence while reflecting the premium experience we want to create.
Content should always be:
- •Authentic
- •Accurate
- •Respectful
- •High quality
- •Relevant to the listing
3. Product Photos
Fashion is visual—and first impressions matter.
Every listing must feature photographs of the actual item being sold. We strongly encourage creators to use original styling photos whenever available, as these help buyers connect with the piece and see how it looks when worn.
Your photos should:
- •Be bright, sharp, and high resolution.
- •Use natural lighting whenever possible.
- •Show the item from multiple angles.
- •Include labels, branding, and important details.
- •Clearly show any flaws or signs of wear.
- •Use clean, uncluttered backgrounds.
- •Accurately represent the item's colour and condition.
Lifestyle images featuring the item being worn are highly encouraged. Flat lays and hanger photos are also accepted when appropriate.
Images may be rejected if they are:
- •Blurry or pixelated.
- •Dark or poorly lit.
- •Excessively filtered or edited.
- •Screenshots or collages.
- •Stock images used without photos of the actual item.
- •Watermarked.
- •Cropped so the item cannot be properly viewed.
- •Visually cluttered or distracting.
- •Shabby, untidy, or inconsistent with KuKu's presentation standards.
KuKu reserves the right to request updated images before approving a listing.
4. Listing Descriptions
Every listing should accurately describe the item.
Please include:
- •Brand
- •Size
- •Colour
- •Condition
- •Material (where applicable)
- •Any visible flaws
- •Relevant styling or fit information
Descriptions must be honest and should never exaggerate the condition or authenticity of an item.
5. Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted on KuKu:
Inappropriate Content
- •Nudity or sexually explicit imagery.
- •Offensive or abusive language.
- •Hate speech or discriminatory content.
- •Threatening or harassing behaviour.
- •Graphic or violent material.
Misleading Content
- •False claims about authenticity.
- •Edited images that misrepresent the item.
- •Incorrect brands, sizes, or conditions.
- •Fake reviews or deceptive information.
Illegal Content
- •Counterfeit or replica products.
- •Stolen goods.
- •Items prohibited under UAE law.
- •Content that infringes intellectual property rights.
6. External Promotion
KuKu is designed to keep transactions safe within the platform.
Users may not use listings, descriptions, comments, usernames, or messages to:
- •Advertise external businesses.
- •Promote social media accounts.
- •Share phone numbers or payment details.
- •Direct buyers to other marketplaces or websites.
- •Encourage off-platform transactions.
Attempts to move transactions outside KuKu may result in account suspension.
7. Intellectual Property
Only upload content that you own or have permission to use.
By uploading content, you confirm that:
- •You own the photographs or have permission to publish them.
- •You have the right to use any logos or brand references included in your listing.
- •Your content does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights.
8. Marketing & Promotional Use
By uploading listings to KuKu, you grant KuKu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your listing content—including product photos, descriptions, usernames, profile information, and publicly visible content—for the purpose of:
- •Promoting the KuKu platform.
- •Showcasing Creator Closets.
- •Featuring products across the app and website.
- •Social media campaigns.
- •Paid advertising.
- •Email marketing.
- •Press features.
- •Editorial content.
- •Future promotional campaigns.
KuKu will not intentionally alter content in a way that misrepresents you or your products.
9. Content Review & Moderation
Every listing submitted to KuKu is reviewed before publication.
KuKu may:
- •Approve a listing.
- •Request revisions.
- •Reject content.
- •Remove published content that later breaches our policies.
Users remain solely responsible for the content they upload.
10. Consequences of Violations
Failure to comply with this policy may result in:
- •Listing rejection.
- •Requests to update content.
- •Removal of listings.
- •Temporary selling restrictions.
- •Account suspension.
- •Permanent removal from KuKu.
- •Legal action where required.
11. Policy Updates
KuKu may update this Content Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, marketplace standards, or legal obligations.
Continued use of KuKu after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
