KuKu Community Guidelines

KuKu is more than a marketplace — it is a community built on trust, transparency, and respect. These Community Guidelines outline the expected behavior for all users to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for everyone using KuKu.

By accessing or using KuKu, you agree to follow these guidelines along with KuKu's Terms & Conditions and platform policies.

1. Respect & Conduct

  • Treat all KuKu users with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language will not be tolerated.
  • Abusive behavior in listings, reviews, offers, or any interaction on the platform is strictly prohibited.

2. Honesty & Transparency

  • All items must be listed honestly and accurately, including:
  • Condition
  • Size
  • Brand
  • Any visible wear, defects, or damage
  • Upload real photos of the actual item being listed.
  • Stock images may only be used if clearly disclosed and must not replace real item images.
  • Misrepresentation of authenticity, origin, or condition is a serious violation.

3. Prohibited Items & Activities

You may not list, sell, or give away:

  • Counterfeit or replica goods
  • Stolen or illegally obtained items
  • Weapons, drugs, or controlled substances
  • Items that pose safety risks (e.g., recalled or unsafe products)
  • Any item or activity that violates UAE laws or intellectual property rights

4. Luxury Items

  • Sellers listing luxury or designer items are fully responsible for authenticity.
  • Any attempt to sell counterfeit or misrepresented luxury goods may result in immediate suspension or permanent account removal.

5. Transactions on KuKu

  • All transactions must be completed within the KuKu platform.
  • Off-platform deals, direct payments, or cash-only transactions are strictly prohibited.
  • Attempts to bypass KuKu's systems may result in account suspension.

6. Safety & Privacy

  • Do not attempt to contact other users outside the KuKu platform.
  • Sharing or requesting personal contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, banking information, or identification documents) is prohibited.
  • All communication related to listings, offers, and transactions must take place through KuKu's built-in system flows.

7. Quality Standards & Quality Check (QC)

  • KuKu offers an optional Quality Check (QC) add-on service that buyers may choose at checkout.
  • When selected, the item is inspected after purchase to ensure it matches the listing description before delivery.
  • Sellers with repeated QC failures may receive warnings, listing restrictions, or account suspension.

8. Reviews, Feedback & Ratings

  • Users are encouraged to leave honest and fair feedback based on their experience.
  • Review manipulation, fake reviews, or offering incentives in exchange for ratings is prohibited.

9. Violations & Enforcement

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, KuKu may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue warnings
  • Temporarily suspend account privileges
  • Permanently remove accounts
  • Remove listings or restrict platform access
  • Refer matters to legal or regulatory authorities where required

10. Phase-Specific Features

  • Rental services are not available in Phase 1 and will be introduced in a later phase.
  • Guidelines relating to rentals will be published separately once the feature is launched.

11. Reporting & Support

As all listings are reviewed before going live, users are encouraged to contact KuKu directly if they encounter concerns related to behavior, transactions, or policy compliance.
